We are all migrants. All of us, were change our lives and our residence, looking for a better place to live.
Muted colors and open spaces remind me of the gaps in our understanding of our closest neighbors
We are all immigrants.
I cannot help but feel that whatever higher power one believes in is shedding a tear in pain at the site of this proposed wall.

I live 30 miles from the border wall at Mariposa station which divides Nogales AZ and Mexico. A quilt wall sounds so much better.
Todos tenemos el derecho a protejer nuestra propiedad.. pero ¿quién tiene que pagar? We all have the right to protect our property.. but who´s got to pay?
NO WALL HIGH ENOUGH to stop the millions of birds who use the flyways across the border, but many non-avian species are impeded and endangered by border walls. Fabric collage.
This piece is a welcome mat to all that seek refuge in our country. The fabric butterfly is representative of the migration of people to a better, safer life.
One world, all brothers and even with divisions, we all live under the same sky.
The Wall. The Wall is a dark place
The idea of a border wall is wrong-just wrong.
Ilusiones sin realizar, cercas que no nos dejan ver, aún así hay un cielo azul.
Division, walls, danger, discrimination, inequality, jabs, death, limits, violence, opportunity, dreams, hope, illusions, love, family.
Necesitamos mas muros verdes! What about a green wall?
No artist statement.
President Ronald Reagan in his famous speech on June 12, 1987 said "Tear down this wall". Have we learned nothing in 31 years?
The divisions only separate humanity.
This brick's design is quite literal, using brick motif fabric with a hand reaching through a gap, pleading for help.
Building walls enhances divisions and emphasizes "us" vs "them". Building bridges creates inclusion and understanding, and hopefully leads to peace.
I fear we've lost our curiosity and with it, our inherent desire to seek the truth.
Made of raw-edge appliquéd bricks in various shades of orange, this layout asks the obvious question about the "wisdom" of building such a structure.
Dreaming of a world full of compassion and acceptance of differences.
BORDER PATROL 1944 honors the dilemma of those who must cross the border over and over again to both support their families and spend time with them. This patrolman is my father. Fabric collage.
This piece describes how wasteful it is to watch 16,000 border patrol agents monitor the current border wall, when apprehensions have decreased by over 40%. Current policy is to make outrageous budget demands to build a wall when measures to apprehend, detain, & kill migrants are already excessive. Many are unaware of the truly horrific nature of Border wall issues, so this speaks to the issues to enlighten the public on both sides.
The current administration's false narrative that migrants are taking our jobs, etc. is false. Many jobs that American workers refuse to do, are done by migrants. Trump hired undocumented Polish workers to build Trump Towers where he lived during his presidential campaign. This brick shows the irony that Trump refused to pay Polish workers until he was sued.
Migration routes, habitats and fragile ecosystems may be disrupted and or destroyed by Trump's wall, potentially affecting over 90 threatened or endangered species. NO WALL
Los animales salvajes serán separados por el muro, y no quedará mas que aullar.Animals will be separated by the wall, just to howl to each other.
A border wall doesn't just affect people, it limits the travel of endangered species that normally cross borders to mate, find food or protection.
Wall won't work = Just my opinion.

Take a closer look
